Jana Kramer became famous on television, where she played Alex in the One Tree Hill series' last three seasons. The first of Jana Kramer's country albums were featured on One Tree Hill's episodes and helped to push her debut album from 2012 into Top 20 of the Billboard 200. Thirty One, the follow-up album from 2015's Thirty One reached the Top Ten. When she finished the decade the year, she appeared on Dancing with the Stars. It was released in 2021 as The self-doubting Voices. Jana Rae Kramer, born in Rochester Hills Michigan and raised in the area, discovered her love for the music of country. Then she decided to pursue an acting career. However, her first professional role was acting in the film Dead/Undead in 2002 when still a teenager. She appeared in guest spots in All My Children, CSI: NY and Friday Night Lights for the 2nd season of the show 2007-2008. Kramer then appeared as Portia Ranson on 90210 from 2008 to 2009 and Brooke Manning in Entourage in the year 2009. She joined the cast of CW One Tree Hill in 2009 as Alex Dupre where she continued to appear until the end of the show in 2012, about halfway in. Jana Kramer Kramer's run on One Tree Hill saw her signing a contract for a single with Elektra Records. In 2011 she debuted the contemporary country love song I Won't Give Up. This track appeared later on her debut album in the mid-2012 timeframe. Billboard Top Country Albums ranked the track in the Top Five. She remained focused on her career in music following that, and not resigning from acting she appeared in films such as Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016 that would appeal to her music fanbase. The second album of Kramer's Thirty One was released by Warner Music Nashville on October 15, 2015. It received a boost from the Top Five country song I Got the Boy and as a duet performed with Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. The album climbed to third place in the Billboard 200 country charts and number 10 in the Billboard 200. In September 2016, her stint on the 23rd Season of Dancing with the Stars lasted 2 months, and she finished in a fourth place finish. Also, it was the year when she scored a contemporary-adult hit, with Feels like Christmas with Straight No Chaser.
